Last week on the BBC, there was a news story about people who kill albino children in Tanzania. There are many cases of children and adult albinos who have been killed by traditional doctors. This has made albinos scared because they do not feel safe. All children are entitled to life no matter what they look like.

Albinos are brown just because their skin does not produce melanin. Melanin is a substance in our skin that makes our skin black.

Everyone should be given the freedom to live and enjoy life. Like any person, albinos are free to live, move and play anywhere without fear.

Like other children in the society, albino children have the right to life, education, entertainment, association, nationality and good sounding names.

Dear children, it is not a mistake that some are brown while others are black. From today onwards know that you are unique and wonderfully made.  Fear nothing for the law is there to protect you wherever you are in the world.
