Covid-19: 10 districts confirm new infections

Rwanda on Thursday, December 10, confirmed 71 new Covid-19 cases identified in 10 different districts across the country.

Of the new cases, 24 were reported in Kigali, 15 in Rubavu district, 14 in Huye district, eight in Rusizi district, and three in both Kayonza and Gicumbi districts.

Muhanga, Gisagara, Kamonyi and Nyagatare districts also reported a single Covid-19 infection each.

The results were obtained from 3,673 sample tests collected in the last 24 hours. In total, 657,995 tests have been taken.

So far, Rwanda has confirmed 6,349 total Covid-19 cases, of whom 5,789 have already recovered.

The country's Covid-19 death toll stands at 53 so far.
