Rwanda registers two new Covid-19 deaths

A 60 year-old woman and another one aged 56 passed away in Kigali and Ngororero district respectively, on Wednesday, December 9.

This raised the country's Covid-19 death toll to 53.

On the same day, 41 people tested positive for the virus. 

They include 32 infections reported in Kigali, three detected Musanze district and two in Rubavu district.

Nyagatare, Gakenke, Ngororero and Huye districts also confirmed a single Covid-19 infection each.

The results were obtained from 3,654 sample tests collected in the last 24 hours.

In total, the country has so far conducted 654,322 Covid-19 tests.

Overall, to date, Rwanda confirmed 6,278 Covid-19 cases, of whom 5,715 people have already recovered.
