Ultimate Developers Limited (UDL) has received a service excellence award as ‘real estate Company of the year’.

The Service Excellence Awards 2020 took place on December 4, at Park Inn by Radisson Kigali.

The fifth excellence awards were organised d by East African Youth Development Agency and Kalisimbi Events.

Emmanuel Nyamurangwa, the Facility Manager at UDL—who spoke on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer during the ceremony—welcomed the award saying that the company has put service delivery at the heart of operations to satisfy clients.

"The award means a lot in the services we provide. We think we merit this award because we have played a big role in developing housing and construction in Rwanda,” he said.

We are proud of the recognition award, he added.

"This means our actions spoke and society voted us. Our uniqueness in real estate is that we fast-track construction and complete the projects on time.”

UDL has vast experience in Rwanda’s construction sector. One of their biggest projects is Vision City.

"In our programme, we have to construct four phases. The first phase has been completed with 504 apartments. Occupancy of these apartments is over 80 per cent which means many people want to buy our real estate products. Only 50 houses are yet to be occupied,” he said.

UDL is also working on phase two, Nyamurangwa disclosed.

"We are about to complete architectural designs for the second phase which is composed of over 500 apartments,” he said.

He said that phase three is also being worked on.

"Meanwhile, we also have affordable housing projects which we are working on. Next year, we will have their designs,” he noted.

He said clients should expect a lot from the company’s services.

"There some apartments we constructed and completed but we are going to build others next year. We have considered all categories of people including low-income earners and high-income earners so that they get affordable houses. UDL is really seeking solutions for people in need of real estate,” he said.

Emmanuel Mugisha, the Managing Director of East African Youth Development Agency and Kalisimbi Events said that the fifth excellence award was based on clients’ voting and research carried out on the companies.

He commended UDL for the best performance in the real estate sector.

"UDL was the best real estate company of the year and that increases their CV and more opportunities than others in the real estate sector,” he said.
