Celebrated disk jockey, DJ Miller, had an unfinished album project in the studio before his untimely death in April this year. His family and friends however, decided to finish what he started by releasing the album in a concert held virtually on Friday, December 4, to honor his courage, determination and the love he had for the music.
Born Virgille Karuranga, the DJ’s album comprises 10 songs, including singles and collaborations.
The album was produced by celebrated producer Davy Denko and features a number of big names from the local music industry whose collaborations also feature on the album.
The album is named after DJ Miller’s daughter and only child, ‘Shani’ who inspired the making of this album to honor the devotion and passion the DJ always had for music.

Riderman, who was among the performers, said that his fellow artistes should not only be celebrating their contribution to DJ Miller’s successful album launch but also learn some lessons from his actions as a DJ and a person.
During the album launch, a fundraising campaign was also initiated to support the completion of the construction project of a house that the DJ started to build for his family before he passed on.
