Rayon Sports Women’s Football Club on Thursday, July 4, announced the signing of shot stopper Angelique Ndakimana from AS Kigali WFC on a two-year contract.

Ndakimana, 23, has been a key figure in AS Kigali's success and a consistent starter for the women’s national team.
With the move to Rayon Sports WFC, she reunites her with former AS Kigali teammates Alodie Kayitesi, Libellée Nibagwire, and Dorethea Mukeshimana who joined the Blues last season.
Ndakimana’s signing comes at a time Rayon Sports WFC is reinforcing its squad, after parting ways with seven players including goalkeepers Claudine Itangishaka and Jeanne Niyonsaba, defender Sifa Uwanyirigira, and midfielders Diane Uwamaria, Rosine Uwiringiyimana, Judith Ochitieno, and Fatuma Miky Kankindi.
The club also announced that captain Andersène Uwase and defender Joseline Mukantaganira have extended their stay.
Rayon Sports WFC will represent Rwanda at the CAF Women’s Champions League. They are expected to begin their preseason training for the 2024/25 campaign on Friday, July 5, at Skol Stadium in Nzove.
