A 32-year-old man succumbed to Covid-19 in Kigali on Sunday, November 22.
In total, Rwanda has recorded 47 Covid-19 deaths.
On the same day, out of 2,541 sample tests collected within 24 hours, 45 people tested positive for the virus.
Of the new cases, 21 infections were identified in Kigali, nine in Rwamagana District, eight in Nyanza District, three in Nyamagabe District and two in Bugesera District.
Rusizi and Musanze Districts also reported a single Covid-19 case each.
Rwanda currently has 5,665 total Covid-19 cases of whom 5,164 have already recovered.
The country has so far carried out 607, 283 Covid-19 tests.
The Rwanda Biomedical Center on Friday announced that it is carrying out Covid-19 testing in schools across the country, adding that results from this exercise will be communicated soon.
In an interview last week, the State Minister for Primary Healthcare Dr Tharcisse Mpunga said that community infections have significantly declined.
Over the past couple of weeks, most cases were registered in crowded environments like refugee camps and prisons and according to Mpunga, appropriate measures have been put in place to contain further spread.
