34 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Rwanda, on Saturday, November 21.
This raised the tally of the country’s Covid-19 confirmed cases to 5,620. Of these, 5,163 have already recovered.
According to the Ministry of Health, of the new infections, 14 were identified in Rwamagana District, 8 in Rubavu District, six in Bugesera District and two in Musanze District.
Nyagatare District also reported two new infections, whereas Nyamasheke and Ngoma districts confirmed a single Covid-19 case each.
The latest update was obtained from 3,916 Covid-19 sample tests taken in the last 24 hours.
46 people have so far succumbed to Covid-19 in Rwanda.
The country has so far carried out 604,742 Covid-19 tests.
The Rwanda Biomedical Center on Friday announced that it is carrying out Covid-19 testing in schools across the country, adding that results from this exercise will be communicated soon.
