On October 15, twenty four different companies, organisations and individuals received recognition through the Service Excellence Award 2022, an initiative by Kalisimbi Events.
According to Emmanuel Mugisha, Managing Director of Kalisimbi Events, the awards highly focus on customer satisfaction, and are presented to those that emerge as ‘the best’ among fellow nominees.
As it was announced, Eye Hospital of the Year is Pyramids Eye Centre, Skills Development Institute of the Year is International Technical School of Kigali, Travel & Tour Company of the Year is Satguru Travel & Tours, Insurance Company of the Year is Sanlam, Real Estate Developer of the Year is Ultimate Developers, Agricultural Equipment Supplier of the Year is Voltech Ltd, Saloon of the Year is Royal Unisex Saloon, Continental Restaurant of the Year is Billy’s Restaurant And Bistro, and Recreational Centre of the Year is Summer Palace.
Fastest Internet of the Year is Canal Box, Logistics Company of the Year is Spedag Interfreight Rwanda Ltd, IT Company of the Year is IT Zone Plus, Liquor Store of the Year is Xinda's Liquor Splash, Paint Company of the Year is Iyaga Plus, Commercial Bank of the Year is Access Bank, Local NGO of the Year is Girls Of Destiny, Marketing Company of the Year is Royo Events, Bar of the Year is Fuchsia, Customer Care Personality of the Year is Patrick Mugisha of Murugo Hostel Rwanda, Dry Cleaner & Laundry of the Year is Eco Laundry & Dry Cleaners, Traditional Dance Troupe of the Year is Inkera Birori Z’urwanda, Hospitality And Tourism Institute of the Year is Vatel Rwanda and Steel Manufacturer of the Year is Master Steel.
Moreover, a special recognition was presented to William Musoni, F&B Manager at Akagera Game Lodge, in appreciation of his contribution in promoting the Rwandan hospitality industry.
Mugisha noted that the Service Excellent Award was happening for the 8th time, declaring that it started with the name 'Smart Award' focusing on hospitality and tourism, but later grew to more categories thus attaining a visionary name.
Tackling why their main focus is customer satisfaction, he said, "everyone is a client and people need each other for different services. So, if the services are delivered badly, a business faces loss and that affects people associated with it and the country at large.”
Apart from Service Excellence Awards, Kalisimbi Events also organises Consumers Choice Awards and Kigali International Multicultural Festival (KIMFEST).
Talking about the award, Abdulaziz Mwiseneza, Division Manager in Charge of Service Delivery at Rwanda Governance Board (RGB), declared that it helps in boosting service delivery and raising awareness, given that Rwanda's vision is to have 90 per cent of all citizens satisfactory regarding the services they receive by 2024.
He added: "This award is a support to us. We also offer our support to Kalisimbi Events and encourage them to keep it up because the journey is still long for people to understand the need to deliver excellent services."
The winners of the Service Excellence Awards thanked Kalisimbi Events for recognising what they do, declaring that it encourages them to keep delivering excellent services to their customers.
Dr Nasif Muhammad represented Pyramid Eye Center which was awarded as Eye Hospital of the Year.
He thanked Kalisimbi Events for the prize, declaring that it means success to the company in just 12 months they have been operating in Rwanda.
He noted that it also means that Rwanda is a good country to invest in and that Pyramid Eye Center has strong management and marketing teams as well as an excellent team of doctors.
