Etoile de l’Est 0-0 Gorilla (4-3 penalties)

Rutsiro and Gorilla have been promoted to the Rwanda Premier League after reaching the final of the second division league.

The two sides will replace Heroes FC and Gicumbi which were relegated from the first division last season.

Rutsiro FC earned promotion to the topflight League after beating Vision FC 7-6 on penalties in the first semi-final after a goalless draw in regular time.

In another thrilling semi-final, Gorilla FC also landed their promotion to the first division next season after edging Etoile de l’Est 4-3 in a penalty shootout following a 0-0 draw in normal time.

The final showdown between the two newly promoted sides is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, at Kigali Stadium.

The 2020-2021 Rwanda Premier League kicks-off on December 4.
