31 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Nyarugenge Prison on Monday, November 16, 2020.

On Sunday, 55 Covid-19 cases had been reported in the same prison.

So far, Covid-19 infections have already been reported from Nsinda, Nyarugenge and Muhanga prisons.

Meanwhile, Monday also saw Rusizi district reporting three new infections, whereas Kirehe and Nyagatare districts confirmed a single Covid-19 infection each.

The latest update was obtained from 1,545 Covid-19 sample tests taken in the last 24 hours.

Rwanda currently has 5,491 total Covid-19 confirmed cases of whom 5,004 have already recovered. 

45 people have already succumbed to the virus.

The country has so far carried out 588,534 Covid-19 tests.
