Rwandan champions APR FC have been handed a delicate draw at 2024 CECAFA Kagame Cup slated for July 9-21 in Tanzania and Zanzibar.
The tournament draw which took place in the Azam TV studio in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday, July 3, left the army side pooled in Group C alongside Sports Villa Club of Uganda, Singida Black Stars of Tanzania and Sudanese powerhouse Al Mereik.

APR won the competition in 2004, 2007 and 2010. They will be aiming to lift it for the fourth time in their history.
CECAFA Kagame Cup had not taken place since 2021 due to the Coronavirus pandemic which had halted many sports activities worldwide.
Ugandan side Express FC of Uganda won the tournament and are back to defend it away from home.
Zambian outfit Red Arrows FC is the only team outside East Africa who have been invited to participate.
