Rwanda will Thursday, July 4, mark the 30th Liberation Day in what promises to be a remarkable celebration of resilience and an occasion to acknowledge what the country has achieved over the past three decades.
The day will feature a variety of festivities designed to inspire and unite the community with a series of exciting events lined up to honor the sacrifices made to liberate the country and its people.
While the national celebration will be held at the state-of-the-art Amahoro Stadium, we bring you a list of must-attend events in celebration of the 30th liberation Day.
Kwibohora Cultural Night
On the night of July 3, Atelier Du Vin will host an event featuring traditional musicians Mariya Yohana, Ruti Joel, Suzana Nyiranyamibwa and Ibihame Byimana to celebrate liberation victory.
Frank Imfura, the brains behind the event, said that organising the event on the eve of Liberation Day is the perfect way to get Rwandans into the mood for the Liberation Day celebration.
"This event aims to bring people together to celebrate the victory that was achieved and listen to traditional songs, valuing the ancestors who created these songs for a reason," Imfura said.
Entrance fee for the event set is Rfw 15,000 online and Rwf 20,000at the gates. Doors will open at 7:00pm and will close 11:00pm.

Scheduled for July 4 at the new L'Espace premises in Kimihurura, this engaging event will run from 7 pm to 9 pm.
The highlight of the evening will be an interactive writing session with the audience, centered around the theme "Human Liberation."
The guest performer will facilitate this session, encouraging attendees to share their perspectives and interpretations of the theme, fostering a rich dialogue on the significance of human liberation.
Entrance will be at Rwf 3,000.
Liberations Day celebrations with Inkindi Gakondo
This is a two-day event scheduled for July 4 -5, from 8:00 pm to midnight at Riders Lounge.
The event was organised with an aim of celebrating the culture and the victory of liberation. It is also an opportunity to call on Rwandans to value and celebrate the victory.
Inkindi Gakondo will entertain people with traditional songs and dances.
Entrance is free of charge.
