Many people get worried when they do not have enough water for bathing. They feel they need to bath to feel fresh and smart. However, we should always look at the importance of water beyond the point of smartness.

Drinking clean water has important health values. In most cases, one can survive without food if water is available.

Water is known to reduce daytime fatigue, improve memory, and nourish the skin. It is also essential for digestion, nutrient absorption and chemical reactions.

Water helps remove toxins from your body, aids blood circulation, and regulates the body’s cooling system. It may also prevent kidney stones and urinary tract infections, improves muscle tone and helps lubricate joints.

It should be understood that at a very basic level, the body cannot store up its own supply of water. It needs fresh intake of valuable water to hydrate cells and remove toxins through the liver and later kidneys.

Without these vital replenishing of water, the body dehydrates, slows down and the blood literally thickens as the body releases histamines in an effort to store water up in cells. This has a negative health affect as this is likely to lead to headaches and lethargy among others.

Water makes up more than two thirds of the weight of the human body, and without it, humans would die in a few days. Various parts of the body possess and use water in varying quantities. For example the human brain is said to be made up of 95% of water, blood is 82% and lungs 90%.

Therefore just a 2% drop in our body’s water supply can trigger signs of dehydration such as fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on smaller print such as a computer screen. It is undoubtedly said that mild dehydration is also one of the most common causes of daytime fatigue.

Water is important to the mechanical function of the human body. The body cannot work without it, just as a car cannot run without fuel. In fact, all the cell and organ functions made up in our entire anatomy and physiology depend on water for their functioning.

Water serves as a lubricant, forms the base for saliva and forms the fluids that surround the joints. On addition it regulates the body temperature, as the cooling and heating is distributed through perspiration.

Water helps to alleviate constipation by moving food through the intestinal tract and thereby eliminating waste food products as well. On addition to the daily maintenance of our bodies, water also plays a key role in the prevention of disease.

Drinking enough water or as much as eight glasses daily can decrease the risk of colon cancer, bladder cancer and it can potentially even reduce the risk of breast cancer.

Therefore water can aid in the prevention and cure of many types of diseases, ailments and disorders that affect the many systems of our bodies.

It should be strongly noted that since water is such an important component to our physiology, it would make sense that the quality of the water should be just as important as the quantity.

Drinking water should always be clean and free of contaminants to ensure proper health. It is very important to ensure that water is safe for drinking before it is taken.

Toxic bacteria, chemicals and heavy metals routinely penetrate and pollute our natural water sources making people sick while exposing them to long term health consequences such as liver damage, cancer and other serious conditions.

Today some brands of bottled water have been found to contain high levels of contaminants in addition to plastics chemical leaching from the bottle.

This is why companies and organizations that deal with bottled water for commercial purposes have to get clearance from the ministry of health.

It is advisable to possess a good water filtration system at home to help proactively monitor and ensure the quality and safety of drinking water. So, hit the bottle….the water bottle, you need your daily eight glasses of clean water.
