TownConnect, a global, cloud-based platform has launched its manager app in Rwanda. The US-based software company operates a set of apps designed with the objective of providing clients with complete management facilities.
The platform in Rwanda is managed by RG Consult Inc., a local marketing and events agency focusing on digitizing markets with ICT innovations.
It is Rwanda’s first fully-integrated security and home services platform transforming gated community experience by leveraging technology.
Under a single platform, TownConnect is a smart way to manage homes, offices, business premises and properties as well as provide professional and skilled labour to communities.
"We aspire to make the service profession as easy and straightforward as ecommerce products,” the company said.
The app consists of four separate modules, ranging from visitor management to workforce and security. It assists users to access professional home and office service providers such as plumbers, electricians, cable TV installers, carpenters, movers and cleaners among others.
Users can also use the app to shop from nearby stores, order food from restaurants and pay cashless via mobile money options or using cards.
"We have an obligation as a dynamic population playing in a largely digitised and globalised economy to bring solutions that are comprehensive, user-friendly and are solving challenges that we have as we go about or lives and businesses,” said Honorine Gasasira, project manager at RG Consult Inc.
TownConnect also helps corporations and organisations manage their field workforce and warehouses, in responding to emergencies needed while giving updated reports on incidents in real time.
The app provides full management of residential and commercial properties as well as fleet management services. With TownConnect, one can track and monitor their fleet and save overrated costs and risks.
"TownConnect app plays in this digital space and therefore I wish to encourage the general public to look out for this dynamic app that has integrated almost all your home and office management, security and service provision in one app for a secure and hustle-free living,” Gasasira said.
To use the app, registered service providers sign up onboard. End-users can download TownConnect apps for free on Android and iOS app stores.
The app is gaining foothold in other countries like Ghana, Botswana and Kenya. Within five months from launching, nearly 10,000 people in Kenya use TownConnect.
