Covid-19: Rwanda records two new infections

Nyagatare and Burera districts have confirmed a single Covid-19 case each on Thursday, October 29.

No case was detected in Kigali, a first in as many days.

The latest number of daily infections is the lowest to be recorded by the country since October 11.

Currently, Rwanda’s Covid-19 hotspot is refugee camps, whereby, for instance, 40 infections were detected in Kirehe district’s Mahama Refugee Camp on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the country recorded no Covid-19 recovery on Thursday. This was even the case a day before.

The results were obtained from 1, 725 tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

As of now, Rwanda has a total number of 245 Covid-19 patients after the recovery of 4, 851 people.

The country’s Covid-19 death toll remains at 35 people since the outbreak of the pandemic.
