Rwanda international Arthur Gitego has won the top scorer award in the 2024 Mozzart Cup in Kenya.

The AFC Leopards striker netted five goals to win the prestigious accolade although his club finished third and failed to secure ticket to the 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup.

Gitego joined AFC Leopards in January 2024 from Rwandan outfit Marines FC and has risen to becoming one of the key components of the Kenyan team.

Previously, he also played for Gicumbi FC and he has been capped internationally five times by Rwanda at senior level.
