The Rwanda Village Concept Project(RVCP) donated various forms of medical equipment to the Huye Distrct Health Centre. The event took place this Wednesday in Huye district where the health center is located in a ceremony led by Rwanda Village Concept Project managers and some of its partners.

The donated equipment included stethoscopes, sterile gloves, baby blankets, needles, surgical caps, syringes, surgical masks as well as two solar panels worth over Rwf. 2 Million.
The donation is a follow up to an earlier one whereby the RVCP had installed electricity as well as installed water in the health centre.
"This gesture is meant to improve the services offered by National University of Rwanda to Rwandan communities in accordance with its motto,” said Mr. Mwitende Jean Claude, the chairman of RVCP at National University of Rwanda.
In his speech Mr. Hartvig Webber-Havsen from Denmark one of partners who attended the ceremony, congratulated the way RVCP members use the donation they receive from their donors.
Nurse Solange Uwanyirigira, officer in charge of the health center promised that the centre management will institute best practice to ensure optimum use of the facilities donated.
She said that the donations will go a long way in reducing considerably the challenges they face namely lack of equipment.
Rwanda Village Concept project is an international voluntary organization run by students at National University of Rwanda.
It is aimed at improving the living standards and conditions of health of unprivileged communities and capacities of students involved in its projects.
RVCP is currently running five projects in Huye sector.
