Covid-19 recoveries hit 3,000-mark in Rwanda

Fifty-five people recovered from Covid-19 in Rwanda on Thursday, September 24, raising the tally of the country’s recoveries to 3,050.

On the same day, 10 new positive cases were reported.

According to the daily update on the pandemic issued by the Ministry of Health, of the new cases, six were detected in Kigali.

Meanwhile, Nyamagabe District confirmed three positive cases, and one Covid-19 case was identified in Nyagatare District, Eastern Province.

The latest results were obtained from 2,158 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.

In total, Rwanda has carried out 483,441 tests of Covid-19.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic in Rwanda in March, the country has confirmed a total of 4,789 Covid-19 cases of whom 3,050 have already recovered.

The country’s Covid-19 death toll so far stands at 27 people.
