Rwanda’s Covid-19 recoveries hit 2,900

Rwanda on Saturday, September 19, recorded 65 new Covid-19 recoveries, raising the tally of Covid-19 patients that recovered from the pandemic to 2,910.

On the same day, the country registered the death of a 26-year-old woman who succumbed to the pandemic in Kigali.

So far, the country’s Covid-19 death toll stands at 26 people.

Meanwhile, Rwanda also reported 18 new Covid-19 cases.

Of the new cases, 14 were detected in Kigali’s high-risk groups whereas the remaining four cases of the pandemic were identified in Nyamagabe District, Southern Province.

The results were obtained from 2,272 sample tests taken in a single day.

In total, since the outbreak of the pandemic by mid-March, Rwanda conducted 474,039 tests.

Of all tests, the country reported 4,689 Covid-19 confirmed cases, of whom 2,910 people have recovered.
