Rwanda registers another Covid-19 death

After almost a week, Rwanda on Thursday, September 17, registered one Covid-19 death, a 48-year-old man in Kigali.

This increased the Covid-19 death toll in the country to 23.

On the same day, the country reported 28 recoveries. 

This brought the total number of recovered Covid-19 patients to 2,817 since mid-March.

Meanwhile, Thursday also saw 19 new cases of the pandemic confirmed from 2,097 tests that were carried out in a day.

Of the new cases, 13 were detected in Kigali’s high-risk group, whereas the remaining six were identified in Nyamagabe District, Southern Province.

In total, the country has so far recorded 4,653 Covid-19 cases, of which 2,817 have fully recovered and discharged.

Cumulatively, 470,218 tests of the virus have been taken in the country.
