All roads will lead to Kimisagara Youth Centre, the home of the forthcoming post-season’s national handball league playoffs slated June 28-30.
Police HC finished the regular season unbeaten after beating rivals APR HC 24-23 on Sunday, June 23, to collect all 48 points out of a possible 48 that were there to play for.
The loss saw APR HC finish second on the table with 44 points while Gicumbi and ES Kigoma completed the top four with 40 points and 30 points respectively.
The playoffs kickoff with semifinals where Police on Friday, June 28, will take on fourth-place ES Kigoma as firm favorites while APR will play against defending champions Gicumbi.
Winners of each of the semifinal matches will qualify for the final playoffs which will be played in the best-of three format.
Gicumbi HC won last year's league title after beating Police in the final rematch. APR finished in third place.
