A Long ago, when the cheetah was very slow and everyone laughed at him because he was always late to get food. The good thing about Cheetah is that he never gave up.

One day, in Cheetah’s kingdom, King Elephant’s wife Queen Ela got very ill. Among the first animals that heard of the news was Cheetah. He quickly made his way to the king’s palace.

"Oh king, it is very sad that the queen is ill,” he said.
"Yes it is sad. I am very much troubled,” King Elephant said.

"I hear that you need someone to go and call the great healer. Can I go, can I go?” Cheetah begged.

"But Cheetah, you are very slow and how will you make it across the big mountain?” King Elephant asked. 

"I will keep on running until I find the healer,” Cheetah said. 

King elephant was pleased with Cheetah’s courage and so he sent him to get the healer.

Cheetah started running without stopping. Within no time he reached a river, he drank its water for strength and kept on running. The more Cheetah ran, the faster he became.

A few minutes later, he found the great healer and carried him back to the king’s palace. Everyone was surprised at how fast he was.

Cheetah told them that he became fast because he never gave up when he was tired.
