APR coach Rene Feller is optimistic that his record nine-time league winners have sufficient chances of winning away from home against Haras El Hodoud and book a place in the last 16 of the Caf Confederations Cup.

Despite being held to a scoreless draw in the first leg in Kigali over the weekend, the Dutchman is still confident that his side is not yet out of the race to qualify for the group stage of the competition.

"We gave a good performance (in the first leg) but we were let down by poor finishing. However, nothing is lost as far as we’re concerned and I believe we will score an away goal to reach the next round.

"In football, everything is possible but our target is to score a goal or two at their place, which we can,” note the ex-Eritrea national team coach.

He added, "They didn’t that many scoring opportunities in Kigali and if we score one goal there, they will need to score two.”

"They have a strong team which includes about five players, who are playing in their national team.”

However, the military side have a mammoth task awaiting them in the return leg as they’ll need win away from home, something that they don’t do quite often especially against North African opposition if they’re to book a place in last 16.

Hodoud, Egyptian Cup winners, made their continental debut in the 2008 and were eliminated at the quarter-finals of the Confederation Cup.
