Asante Kotoko skipper Richmond Lamptey has agreed personal terms to join Rwandan champions APR FC on a two-year deal.
Lamptey's contract with the ‘Porcupine Warriors’ expires on August 30 and he has mutually parted ways with the club as a move to APR FC beckons after declining deal to extend his stay.
A typical number 10, Lamptey, who can also operate in central midfield, has been among standout players who took Ghana Premier League by storm during past two seasons and he was part of the Black Stars’ team which participated in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) held in Cote d'Ivoire.
The left-footed midfielder was groomed at the Ghana-based famous Feyenoord Academy which was owned by Dutch Eredivisie side Feyenoord Rotterdam. He previously played for Lebanese outfit Salam Zgharta as well as Inter Allies.
Lamptey, 27, is expected in Rwanda in the ‘coming days’ to have medicals before signing a reported two-year-contract with APR FC.
