Espoir basketball club head coach Janvier Kamanzi has expressed his optimism about a big victory over Kigali Titans when the two opponents face-off in the national basketball league on Wednesday, June 26, at Lycee de Kigali gymnasium.

The game starts at 6pm.

Prior to the crunch game, Espoir are, who sit in sixth place with 18 points, will be hoping to beat bottom-placed Kigali Titans, a result that would see them moved into the to four which arguably qualify for the playoffs.

"For us every game is a must-win, that is the target we set ourselves at the start of each season, so we will go into the game against Kigali Titans, looking to win,” Kamanzi told Times Sport.

In another game, United Generation Basketball (UGB) will be up against APR at 8:30pm at LDK gymnasium.

APR are currently ranked second with 23 points, a point shy of league leaders Patriots but a win over UGB on Wednesday would see them climb to the top of the standings.

UGB, now eighth with 15 points, will go into the match as underdogs before the ‘Lions’ who remain unbeaten in the second round of the league.
