Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has said that they will sue Luc Eymael to the world football governing body (Fifa) over racist comments.

The racist slurs were made against Yanga SC fans after they showed displeasure in the changes he made during Yanga’s 1-1 draw against Mtibwa Sugar on Wednesday, July 22.

Eymael, a Belgium-born manager, was fired by Yanga with immediate effect on Monday, July 28, in the wake of his demeaning comments where he was recorded calling the club’s fans ‘dogs’ and comparing them to chanting monkeys.

"Owing to those unsporting remarks, Yanga management has decided to fire Luc Eymael effective today, Monday, July 27 and will ensure he leaves the country as soon as possible. Yanga values and believes in pillars of discipline and humanity and is against any form of racism,” a statement from Yanga reads in part.

The Tanzanian Football governing body (TFF) has since announced to take disciplinary action against the 60-year-old coach and initiate legal proceedings against him, and the charges that will also be communicated to Fifa.

"TFF will (also) communicate the same to the World Football Governing Body (Fifa) on the racist remarks made, hoping action will be made to ensure the coach does not repeat the same wherever he goes,” reads part of TFF statement.

Eymael was appointed by 27-time Tanzania champions Yanga in January, taking the club’s hot-seat from DR Congolese tactician Mwinyi Zahera.

He previously managed Rwandan side Rayon Sports in 2014 but his stint was cut short after he was banned from all football activities for two years following his involvement in post-match violent scenes after his side were held to a 1-1 draw against AS Kigali at Amahoro Stadium.
