Presidential candidates and political parties on Saturday, June 22 started a three-week long campaign trail as Rwandans gear up for presidential and parliamentary elections next month.

The campaigns began on June 22 and will run until July 13 – just one day before Rwandans in the diaspora vote for president and 53 Members of Parliament through universal suffrage.

Rwandans in the country will vote on July 15.

For presidential candidates, on Saturday, June 22, President Kagame, the RPF Inkotanyi flag bearer launched his presidential bid in Musanze District, Habineza in Gasabo district, while Mpayimana launched his rally in Kirehe district. And for the parliamentary campaigns, PSD launched their campaigns in Bugesera district; DGPR-Green Party, in Gasabo District; and PS Imberakuri, in Kirehe District.
