Beach V-ball: Rwanda withdraws from Paris 2024 qualifiers amid injury setback

Rwanda men’s beach volleyball national team bowed out of the 2024 CAVB Continental Cup after Venuste Gatsinzi suffered a knee ligament injury on Saturday, June 22.

Gatsinzi and his teammates Olivier Ntagengwa were representing Rwanda at the tournament taking place in Morocco, but unfortunately, the former sustained an injury during Saturday’s quarterfinal match against Togo.

The injury forced Rwanda out of the tournament as Gatsinzi could not continue to play, hence missing out on ticket to the 2024 Olympic Games slated for July 26 to August 11 in Paris, France.

Meanwhile, the women’s national team advanced to the quarterfinals of the tournament after beating Cameroon by 2-0 sets. The women&039;s team is composed of Valentine Munezero and Benita Mukandayisenga.

They are set to play against Nigeria in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
