The Kigali International Golf Club will be ready for use in November, Times Sport has learned.
Redevelopment works to upgrade the course from 9 to an 18-hole facility have reached the final stage. Rwanda Ultimate Golf Course Ltd is the contractor of the project.
"The contractor is in the final stage of planting grass and finalizing the landscape. Golfers should be able to have a taste of the facility in November," Davis Kashaka, captain of the Kigali Golf Club, told Times Sport in an interview on Friday.
"The [upgraded] Kigali Golf Club will boost sports tourism in the country, while at the same time promoting the development of the game. We will also be eligible to host top golfers and events on the continent and beyond.”
The facility also has other structures that include a squash court, swimming pool, gym, changing rooms, an executive bar and restaurant.
