Egyptian football federation have proposed September as the best timing to play the third round of the World/Africa Cup qualifier against Rwanda.

The Pharaohs were left in a tight situation regarding the Group C fixture, which was originally scheduled for June 10.

The FA received a notification from the Algerian Football Federation over the weekend, setting June 7 as the new date of their qualifier, one day later than the pre-agreed fixture date.

This change in date means that African champions will only have less than three days to prepare for the next World Cup game against Rwanda.

"Following a meeting with the first team’s technical staff, the FA decided to inform Fifa that it would be difficult to play the World Cup qualifier with Rwanda on June 10th after playing in Algeria on June 7th, just 72 hours earlier,” a statement on the FA’s official site stated.

Consequently, the Egyptian FA called on Fifa to reschedule their home tie with Rwanda’s Amavubi Stars.

"We have a number of options for the Rwanda game, but I think September would be the best timing,” Egypt coach Shehata told FilGoal.com.
