President Paul Kagame met with President Bassirou Diomaye Faye of Senegal, in Paris, France, on Thursday, June 20, and had a cordial exchange following up on the former’s visit to Dakar last month, according to the President&039;s Office.
Kagame arrived in Paris on Thursday to attend the Global Forum for Vaccine Sovereignty and Innovation, co-hosted by Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, in partnership with France and the African Union (AU).
It also emerged that President Faye was due to visit Rwanda, although no more details were offered.

"They also exchanged on a visit of President Faye to Rwanda to continue sharing experiences in various fields including impactful and accountable public governance as well as intra-African collaboration,” reads a post by the President’s Office on X.

Kagame visited Dakar, Senegal, in May where he was received by and later held talks with his host President Faye.
In Dakar, the Heads of State held a tête-à-tête as well as a luncheon. The two leaders were also seen together attending a Basketball Africa League (BAL) qualifier game between Senegal’s AS Douanes and Rwanda’s APR.
This was Kagame's first visit to Senegal since Faye was elected as the country's leader. The 44-year-old won the presidency on his Pastef party ticket in March.
