Police FC have acquired Gorilla FC skipper Simeon Iradukunda on a two-year deal.
The holding midfielder has been in fine form for Gorilla FC over the past two seasons and he has now been snapped up by the law enforcers as they hope to add more cover in midfield.
The 2023/24 Peace Cup winners have also signed former Ghanaian Issah Yakubu from Malian giants Stade Malien.
Yakubu, 25, previously played for Ghanaian Premier League side Dreams FC as well as Ivorian outfit ES Bafiang. He also featured for Ghana U23 team.
Elsewhere, Rayon Sports are closing in on Burundian central midfielder Richard Ndayishimiye who played for Muhazi United in the 2023/24 season. Talks between the two parties have reached an advanced stage with the deal pending the club management for approval.
It is said that Ndayishimiye his employers have not agreed yet on how they will share Rayon’s transfer fees.

Rayon are also on the heels of free agent Yannick Bizimana who left APR on Wednesday, June 19, the deal could be completed in the coming days. It would be his second stint with Rayon after previously playing for them before joining APR in 2020.
Niyigena, Nshimiyimana extend APR stay
APR FC have also extended the contract of defenders Yunusu Nshimiyimana and Clement Niyigena on a two-year deal. Their initial contract is due to expire on June 30.
The Rwandan champions’ outgoing head coach Thierry Froger and his assistant officially left Rwanda on Wednesday, June 19, for their native France via KLM after failing to have their contracts extended.
The club is still in search of Froger’s replacement and Serbian coach Darko Novic is in pole position to take charge of the club.
