APR FC striker Yannick Bizimana, is among four players that were released by Army Side.

APR FC have parted ways with four players as they seek to take a new direction in the upcoming 2023/24 season.

The four players namely striker Yannick Bizimana, left back Christian Ishimwe, midfielder Placide Rwabuhihi and right-back Omborenga Fitina are no more with the team after their contracts came to an end.

Fitina, the longest serving player among the four, joined APR from Slovakian outfit MFK Topvar Topoľčany in 2017 and has been one of their best players since then.

Bizimana has, on the other hand, been sparingly used as a second choice striker following the arrival of Nigerian forward Victor Mbaoma in the beginning of the 2023/24 season while Ishimwe was a regular starter last season and his presence in defense made former coach Thierry Froger to move skipper Claude Niyomugabo to central midfield.

Rwabuhihi also found playing time a scarce commodity.

Ishimwe is said to have agreed terms with Police FC for a reported fee of Rwf17 Million after he turned their initial amount down while Omborenga also remains a target for Rayon Sports.

APR FC is undergoing squad shakeup as they look to build a team ready to challenge at the contintel level after six years of domestic dominance.
