Rwanda on Friday, June 26 reported 8 new Covid-19 cases, the least since the beginning of this week.
The same day also saw thirteen people discharged from Covid-19 treatment centres, which is also the highest number of people discharged in one day since the beginning of this week.
The new figures brought the tally of active cases to 458, taking the overall recovery count to 398, according to the ministry of health.
The latest update was obtained from 3,763 sample tests. In total, the country has since mid-March conducted 130,047 sample tests.
Among those sample tests, only 858 have tested positive and two Covid-19 deaths have been reported so far.
In a daily update on the pandemic by the Ministry of Health, it was noted that of the new cases: Four were from Kigali and the other four were from Rusizi.
The Ministry of Local Government on Thursday put six villages in Kigali city under total lockdown to curb the spread of the virus.
