Frank Murangwa, a seasoned Rwandan tourism strategist, is set to join the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) as its regional director for Africa.
Murangwa, who is currently the Director of Destination Marketing at Rwanda Convention Bureau (RCB), will be replacing Esmare Steinhofel.

Murangwa has more than 10 years of experience in tourism management and Meetings Incentives Conferences and Events (MICE). He previously served as RCB’s acting chief executive.
He also served as the Division Manager in charge of MICE at Rwanda Development Board (RDB).
"Everyone at ICCA welcomes Frank to the team,” Senthil Gopinath, CEO of ICCA was quoted as saying by travel and tourism publication VoyagesAfriq.
"His experience and background make him a great fit for the Regional Director role, and we’re excited to have him on board.”

The MICE strategist holds a master’s degree in tourism destination management obtained from Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.
Murangwa also holds a bachelor’s degree in tourism obtained from Makerere University in Uganda.

Murangwa was voted Africa’s MICE ICON 2017 by Street of Gold Foundation.
