French gaffer Julien Mette has said good bye to Rayon Sports after talks over contract extension collapsed.
Mette joined the Blues in January on a short-term deal, taking over from interim coach Mohammed Wade. He guided the club to second place and Peace Cup semifinals.
Rayon Sports president Fidele Uwayezu was keen to keep Mette and extend his deal. However, Times Sport understands that the talks didn’t materialize, prompting the Frenchman to announce his exit from the club.

"Thanks for the wonderful welcoming, the respect every fans that came to me has had. Beautiful country, beautiful city of Kigali, five intense months for me,” Meet said in an Instagram post.
Mette revealed he encountered ‘lots of frustration’ regarding the situation of the team ever since he arrived before adding that he "did my best without my staff and without possibility to recruit. Anyway...I am Gikundiro. See you," he added.
Rayon are yet to appoint a new head coach who will succeed Mette.
