Rwanda’s group opponents in the final round of the 2010 World/Africa Cup qualifiers, Zambia have their coach Herve Renard unsettled after being chased by Senegal.

According to goal.com, Senegal and top Ivorian club Asec Mimosas have approached Renard, to manage first team affairs after guiding the Copper Bullets to third place at the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) last week.

"Yes, I have received contacts from Senegal and Asec Mimosas but it is important to understand that these are not contracts,” said Renard, who was hired by Zambia in May, 2008.

"For now, I am going back to Zambia because that’s where I have a contract.”

It is understood that even Mali are keen on hiring the French coach. Renard’s future is uncertain after sponsors Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) stopped paying his salary.

"I have not received any word from Zambia Football Association (FAZ) since KCM pulled out. But I am not worried about that,” Renard said.

KCM were releasing about $20,000 for his salary and that of his assistant, Patrice Beaumelle.

"My future for now is in Zambia,” Renard claimed. However, he said he does not plan to renew his contract when it expires in June 2010.

Zambia is drawn alongside Algeria, Egypt and Rwanda in Group C of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
