BUGESERA—Residents in Mwendo have found a man dead who allegedly hanged himself there on Wednesday. Police at Nyamata said J Imanaragena of Gashora sector hanged himself using a rope at 10 AM.

The sector executive secretary Viater Ndayisabye said the deceased had recently lost his wife and was living alone, which might have pushed him to take his life.

Ndayisabye said there were no recorded cases of suicide in the sector in recent history.
