After a cancelled concert for his debut album launch in March, singer Igor Mabano has decided to release his latest album, ‘Urakunzwe’ via different online platforms.
The 25-year-old singer has spent enough time preparing for a concert for his album on March 21, at Kigali Serena Hotel, but his management decided to cancel the concert after the ten days before following the City of Kigali’s ban on mass events and gatherings to prevent the Coronavirus from spreading.
Mabano said his management, Kina Music Record Label, has decided to release the album online to ensure his music lovers can access his music but insists his management will still organize a concert for him as soon as the coronavirus outbreak is eased.
"Of course my decision to release the album through online platforms is a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic but I still have a plan for my concert,” the singer told The New Times during an interview.
According to the singer, the album will be available from June 1 and people will be able to access the songs on it via online platforms like YouTube, Spotify and iTunes among others.
‘Urakunzwe’ album comprises 16 songs namely ‘Habi Cyane’, ‘Back’, ‘Ndagutekereza’, ‘Gake’ ft Nel Ngabo, ‘Dear Mashuka’, ‘Too Late’, ‘Urakunzwe’, ‘Ni Ukuri’, ‘Iyo Utegereza’ and ‘Ubutumwa’.
Others include ‘Like Him’ ft Nel Ngabo, ‘Easy’, ‘Back’ (Remix ft S-Wrap), ‘Ni Hahandi’ ft Riderman, ‘Fix’ and ‘Uwanjye’.
