Yves Rwasamanzi, head coach of the national under 23 football team, Amavubi, has named a provisional squad to start preparations for the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) qualifiers against Mali.
The squad list was released on Thursday, October 13, through the official Twitter page of the Rwanda Football Federation, or Ferwafa.
Rwanda will face Mali in the first leg on October 22 , at Huye Stadium, before travelling for the decisive encounter on October 29, in Mali.
The training camp starts Friday, October 14, in Huye.
Amavubi U-23 reached the second round of the biggest youth competition after seeing off Libya, by away goal advantage after drawing 4-4 in their two encounters.
The 2023 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations is the fourth edition of the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations, the quadrennial international age-restricted football championship organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the men's under 23 national teams of Africa. It will be hosted by Morocco in June 2023.
