With recent extension, the lockdown will go through to April 30. However, it is uncertain just how ‘normal’ things will be going forward.
So, how can you best utilise the time left?
Below are 10 things you can do to ensure a productive lockdown;

They include; skipping, pushups, and bench dips, among others. Don’t forget to drink enough water avoid dehydration.
Connect with friends and family
This is an opportunity to strengthen relationships with family members and friends, including those living abroad.
Church service
For believers, regardless of religion, the lockdown should not detach you from your faith rituals.
You can also follow sermons via different media platforms, because many places of worship have started streaming sermons online.
Read books
Sparing part time to read books is a commendable choice. This is so because reading teaches you new cultures, vocabulary and boosts your self-esteem, especially inspirational stories.
Reading also is regarded as a mental exercise and stress reliever. With internet, accessing books has been made easier.
Stay updated

A helping hand is of essence
Put a smile on someone else’s face. Help people whose livelihoods were affected by the lockdown.
Learn new skills
Make efforts to learn simple skills, like how to cook, for example. Start with simple breakfast ideas, like toasted bread with an omelette.
Be part of the fight against COVID-19
It has been reiterated by the government that without the citizens’ effort, COVID-19 won’t be contained as intended.
Joining the fight includes washing your hands frequently, practicing self-distancing and avoiding unnecessary movement.
Be productive at work
This mainly applies to people working from home. Remote working should not be an excuse to work less. Instead, plan your day in advance, do everything in accordance with your timetable to avoid time wastage, and make sure you are working from a comfortable place, free from distractions.
