The National Electoral Commission (NEC) on June 6 released the provisional list of both presidential and parliamentary candidates for the July 14 elections.
The presidential candidates include the incumbent President Paul Kagame of RPF Inkotanyi, Frank Habineza of Green Party and independent candidate Philippe Mpayimana.
For parliamentary seats, NEC provisionally cleared 459 candidates out of 675 who had submitted candadacies before May 30.
The final list of candidates is expected to be released on June 14, the electoral campaigns will commence from June 22 to July 13 and the voting period will get underway on July 14-16.
