Rwanda vs Uganda (6pm)

Rwanda U-18 boys’ team takes on hosts Uganda on Monday at Lugogo Indoor Stadium as they look to maintain their perfect start to the ongoing U18 FIBA Africa Zone V qualifiers.

Rwanda were off to a winning start in the qualifiers after comfortably overcoming Kenya 81-52 in the opening game on Sunday.

In a telephone interview with Times Sport, Rwanda U18 head coach Yves Murenzi recognized Uganda’s strength, but he remained optimistic that his side has all it takes to beat anyone in the tournament.

"We are ready to give all we have, we want to finish unbeaten in the FIBA Africa U18 Championships for Zone 5 and it is possible,” Murenzi said.

Rwanda will play their third game against Tanzania on Tuesday, June 11 at 1pm.

The zone 5 qualifying competition attracted four countries namely Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania, all battling out for a ticket to the FIBA U-18 continental tournament.
