French football governing body, FFF Secretary General, Georges Laura was received by FERWAFA Secretary General Muhire at Kigali International Airport on Thursday, October 13

French football governing body, FFF Secretary General, Georges Laura, arrived in Kigali on Thursday, October 13, to join other football legends and experts who will grace the official launch of the Legends in Rwanda gala slated for October 12-14.

At Kigali International Airport, Georges was received by Ferwafa’s Secretary General, Henry Muhire.

The Legends in Rwanda gala is a pre-event to the 2024 Veteran Clubs World Championship due to take place in Rwanda as well.

Laura Stéphanie Georges, born on August 20, 1984, is a retired French footballer who is the Secretary General of the French Football Federation.

She played for German club Bayern Munich and served as the first-choice captain of her club where she played primarily as a central defender, but was also used as a defensive midfielder.

In France, Georges made her senior international debut in September 2001.

She represented her nation at seven major international tournaments; the 2003, 2011 and 2015 editions of the FIFA Women's World Cup and the 2005, 2009, 2013 and 2017 editions of the UEFA Women's Championship.
