Effective Wednesday, June 5, the price of gasoline is reduced to Rwf1,663 per litre from the previous Rwf1,764 per litre, Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA) noted as it announced new fuel prices.

Similarly, the maximum retail price for diesel has decreased to Rwf1,652 per liter from Rwf1,684 per litre.

The decrease in the maximum retail price for gasoline is Rwf101 per litre, while the reduction for diesel is Rwf32 per litre.

According to RURA, the latest adjustments reflect recent variations in international petroleum product prices.

Every two months, RURA sets new fuel prices based on global market trends.

The next update is expected at the beginning of August.
