Rwandan actress Malaika Uwamahoro will be among the speakers at the Forbes Woman Africa 2020 Leading Women Summit in Durban, South Africa.
The 5th summit runs through March 6, and aims to spark ideas and inspire attendees through hard-hitting talks, interactions and panel sessions. It will also bring together influential women from across industries and professions.
This year’s theme is ‘The Ceiling Crashers 2.0: Power with Purpose’. The event is in honour of International Women's Day scheduled for March 8.
The acclaimed actor, singer, poet and social justice activist, Uwamahoro, has performed at national and international events such as, ‘Rwanda Youth Forum’ in Dallas, ‘AU Summit in Rwanda’, and more.
She has also performed plays like, ‘Miracle in Rwanda’, based on a life story of Immaculee Iribagiza, a 1994 Genocide against Tutsi survivor, and writer of books like ‘Left to tell’.
