Ibrahim Cyusa, a budding traditional music singer and dancer, and his Inkera traditional dance troupe are looking forward to their maiden Europe tour in March.
Early last year, Cyusa performed unaccompanied in the Netherlands and Belgium, but this time, he told Saturday times, he will travel with his Inkera troupe.
During their upcoming tour, the group plans to perform in four countries – the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and France, for three weeks.
"It is a big step for us as well as gakondo music in general. When you reflect on how the diaspora community is delighted by the youth doing gakondo it is a clear indication that gakondo will never fade away,” said Cyusa.
He added that he is looking forward to meeting with his half-brother, Rwandan-born Belgian star, Stromae– born, Paul Van Haver, who is expected to attend at least one of their concerts if all goes according to plan.
Cyusa released a new song titled, "Umwitero,” October, last year. He has another song called ‘Rwanda Nkunda’
But it’s his latest release is a remix "Muhoza wanjye” dropped on December 5, last year, which is now making waves.
