Rwandans are gearing up for a long weekend ahead of Heroes' Day on February 1.

In a bid to pay tribute to the country’s heroes, a concert has been organised at Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (former Camp Kigali) this evening, January 31, to celebrate the men and women, who led by example and defended the values of patriotism, sacrificing their lives for the wellbeing of the country and Rwandans.

The concert will be headlined by top Rwandan traditional musicians including Jean-Marie Muyango, Mariya Yohana, and Masamba Intore. Other performers will are, Clarisse Karasira, Niyo Bosco and Social Mula.

The 26th edition of the annual celebrations will be themed, "Our Heroism, our Dignity”. The concert starts at 5:30 p.m.
