Kenyan songstress Victoria Kimani not only expressed excitement about the Basketball Africa League finals but also shared her impressions of Rwanda during her stay.
Kimani attended the 2024 BAL third-place game on Friday, May 31, where Nigeria's Rivers Hoopers secured third place after beating Cape Town Tigers 80-57 at BK Arena.
In an exclusive interview with The New Times, Kimani expressed her admiration for Rwanda, and that she is enjoying every minute of her stay.
"I landed yesterday(Thursday), and the country is incredibly beautiful and gorgeous.
The arena is amazing—I wish we could transport it to Nairobi because we need something similar in Kenya."

Reflecting on her first experience attending the BAL finals, the musician said, "I attended the NBA Academy games in South Africa in the past, but the BAL is different. I&039;m proud to be African, and having an event like the BAL to showcase our talents is truly remarkable."
And asked about her plans to explore Rwanda, Kimani said, "I visited Bugesera and played basketball with some local ladies from the community. Next, I plan to go sightseeing—I would love to see the gorillas because I have a deep appreciation for nature."
"I'm excited to announce that my fifth album is on the horizon. 'Inconsistent,' the first single from the album, is out now, so be sure to give it a listen. Stay tuned for more releases throughout the year," she said.
Born in Los Angeles to Kenyan parents, R&B/Afropop singer Victoria Kimani has lived in various parts of the world, including Tulsa, Oklahoma, Nigeria, and finally Kenya, during her teenage years.
Throughout the past decade, she has forged professional connections with a wide array of industry heavyweights, spanning from DJ Whoo Kid to Jadakiss, DJ Green Lantern, Busta Rhymes, and Timbaland, among others.
Additionally, she has collaborated with renowned African artists such as Sarkodie, Yemi Alade, and Bella Shmurda.
